First blog post :)

I made this blog when i first found out i was pregnant so that i wouldn't have to clog Facebook with baby ramblings and pictures. I also wanted somewhere that those of you who WANT to see my updates and read about my pregnant life can :) i know i'm starting this kind of late in my pregnancy (18 weeks) but i kind of made it then forgot about it. haha and i figure better late than never right? well this is what has been happening the past 4 months..

We (Nate and I) found out we were expecting on June 29th. Seems like forever ago already.. We were obviously pretty shocked at first but that soon turned to excitement and happiness! (until the morning sickness set in that is.. ) We told our parents and a few close family members & friends first and then waited until i was 12 weeks along to break the big news to everyone else.

The first few months were pretty hard, between the getting sick/ having to force myself to eat and the extreme difficulty of keeping this big of a secret from my friends and people i see everyday. But by week 12 i had pretty much gotten over all of the sickness and was already loving being pregnant :)

On August 17th i heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. what an AMAZING moment. the feeling you get when you really realize that there is a living thing growing inside of you is unreal. i yelled for Nate and had him come listen too.

I started to feel the baby moving around 17 weeks and that was an even more amazing feeling. unexplainable really. I cant wait until the movements are strong enough that Nate can feel them too :)

On October 4th when i was 18 weeks along we had our ultrasound, and so far that was the best day of our pregnancy. Seeing the baby and watching HER move around was the most remarkable thing. We just sat there in awe watching the screen and watching our little girl. we are so in love with her already.

Well that pretty much sums up the major moments so far. Hopefully the rest of the entries wont be as long because i will try to make them more frequent. Here are some pictures of my growing belly! Thanks for reading!
